This specialized 24-Hour Mental Health Interpreter Training course is designed to prepare medical interpreters to navigate these sensitive and complex encounters with confidence, professionalism, and cultural awareness.

Whether you’re interpreting in a clinical counseling session, psychiatric evaluation, or crisis intervention, this training will expand your skills and enhance your ability to support both providers and patients effectively.

What you’ll learn:

Certificate of Completion awarded after successful completion of all 24 hours and obtaining a score of 70% or above on the exam.

Eligibility Requirements

To enroll in this course, applicants must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Have completed Bridging the Gap or another approved 40-hour medical interpreter training

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or higher education degree

  • Provide proof of language proficiency (We offer language testing if needed—see below)

Don’t have proof of language proficiency?

No problem. We offer Language Proficiency Testing.
The exam is scheduled around your availability and must be completed before the training begins.
